Our content,
 your news.

Our mission is to serve as a trusted
 field-production and editorial partner for
 news organizations by delivering accurate,
 timely, publication-ready coverage of the
 people, places, and events shaping
 central Appalachia and beyond.

A story worth telling
Eventis Media is dedicated to delivering timely and reliable news coverage, providing clients with comprehensive insights into current events. Our mission is to inform and engage, upholding journalistic integrity and excellence through award-winning content.

We began in 2012 as Donegal Media Group in south-central Pennsylvania, serving the mid-Atlantic. In 2024 we relocated to northeastern Tennessee, rebranded, and today serve clients in central Appalachia with our signature level of passion and commitment.

Our staff holds various media credentials and industry memberships, allowing us access to newsmakers either down the road or over the mountains.
Driven by fairness,
not headlines
To us, fairness isn't just a guideline -- it's our foundation. Every story deserves to be told with clarity and balance. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity, separating fact from opinion. Our approach is rooted in transparency, accuracy and trust. We focus on verified information, clear attribution and balanced reporting rather than unsupported opinion or sensationalism.

We don't just cover events -- we explain them. We engage with the communities we serve, listen before we speak, and report with accountability. That's what sets us apart.
Local focus, regional reach
From our home base in Kingsport within the Tri-Cities area, we deliver professional, on-the-ground reporting across the heart of northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia. While our core coverage area includes the I-26, I-81 and U.S. 11 corridors across nine counties, we're sometimes contracted for major events across the east coast.

Our mobile newsroom -- fully equipped for live reporting, field production, and rapid response -- allows us to cover breaking news and regional issues wherever the story unfolds.

We're anchored on
what matters to you
Our dynamic anchor team of Ethan Walker and Emma Brooks bring viewers the stories that shape the region. From breaking news to inspiring hometown stories, they work together to provide clear, trustworthy reporting that keeps audiences informed and connected.

With a modern approach to broadcasting, our on-air personalities deliver comprehensive coverage with integrity, experience, and a genuine passion for serving eastern Tennessee and beyond.

Picture this: photojournalism
at its very best
Anyone can take a picture, but few get award-winning results like us. Our experienced duo of Steve Cobaugh and Jordyn Lowry have over 50 years of combined professional expertise, yielding exceptional images that capture compelling moments.

You can scroll through a selection of some news events we cover in the Newsroom Gallery and Archived Gallery tabs. These copyrighted images are presented for public awareness. They represent only a small fraction of total news coverage during a given period.

Special events are special to us
We offer a full range of news coverage services for many celebrations and events surrounding the America 250 commemoration.  Our company can provide exclusive content, augment your own team's assignments, and offer coverage that extends your market influence. Eventis Media has been named a Commemorative Partner of VA250, Virginia's official state program celebrating the nation's semiquincentennial in 2026.

We expect to eclipse our field commitment for this national milestone, beyond that of our exceptional coverage for the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, 2011-2015.  Our Gettysburg coverage received national recognition and demonstrated the depth and quality we bring to major commemorative events.

What is your mission statement?

Eventis Media News Service exists to help newsrooms, publishers, broadcasters, and media organizations cover more of the stories that matter by providing accurate, timely, publication-ready editorial content from the field. Based in Kingsport, Tennessee, and serving central Appalachia and beyond, we deliver professional photo, video, audio, written, and white-label news coverage grounded in fairness, verification, clarity, and respect for client confidentiality.

How do clients request coverage?

Clients may request coverage by contacting the Assignment Desk with the event date, location, subject, requested services, deadline, preferred formats, and any access or credentialing requirements. The more details provided in advance, the better we can plan staffing, equipment, travel, and delivery.

Do clients need to provide media credentials or access?

When an assignment requires restricted access, press credentials, parking, backstage access, security clearance, or permission from an event organizer, the client may be asked to help arrange access in advance. Eventis Media News Service can also request credentials directly when appropriate.

Do you provide raw files or only edited material?

Edited, publication-ready material is standard. Raw photo, video, or audio files may be available by agreement, depending on the assignment, licensing terms, and client needs. Raw files are not automatically included unless specified in advance.

What happens if weather, safety, access, or event conditions prevent coverage?

Coverage may be affected by weather, safety concerns, venue restrictions, emergency conditions, law enforcement activity, equipment limitations, or lack of access. If conditions prevent full coverage, we will communicate with the client as soon as possible and provide the best available material within the circumstances.

Do you require a written agreement before starting work?

For most assignments, we prefer to establish the scope of work, deadlines, deliverables, usage rights, payment terms, and any confidentiality requirements before coverage begins. Smaller assignments may be handled through written confirmation by email, while larger or exclusive projects may require a formal agreement.

Can I see examples of past work?

Yes. We can provide representative samples of our work, including publicly available projects, approved portfolio pieces, redacted examples, or custom demonstration materials that show our capabilities. In the case of still images, we already display samples within our website galleries. Some work, however, cannot be shared because it may contain client-owned content, unpublished concepts, licensed materials, confidential information, or other intellectual property. We respect those limitations. The same care we take in protecting past clients’ material is the care we would apply to your project. For qualified prospective clients, we may be able to provide a private review of selected examples, subject to permission, redaction, or an appropriate confidentiality agreement. When direct samples cannot be shown, we can still demonstrate relevant experience through anonymized case summaries, mock examples, process explanations, before-and-after comparisons, or work created specifically for portfolio demonstration. Otherwise unusable demonstration works are created only if the client expresses serious intent and is subject to staff availability.

Can you provide client names?

We protect the identity of client organizations that rely on us for supplemental news, media, or content support. Many clients in the news industry use outside services to strengthen coverage, manage workload, or fill specific reporting needs, and they may not wish to publicly disclose vendor relationships because they are part of internal newsroom operations. Confidential support allows news organizations to expand coverage capacity while retaining their own editorial control and responsibility. Our role is to support--not replace--the client's standards, judgment, or accountability. We do not identify clients, projects, or outlets without written permission. Client confidentiality is part of our professional standard. What we can do is show representative work, explain the type of assignments we handle, discuss our process, and, where available, arrange an approved reference. In short, we protect client/vendor relationships, while still requiring accuracy, ethical sourcing, and honest editorial practices in the work itself.

What does your onboarding process look like for new clients and partners?

For each project, you'll have a single point of contact who's responsible for your assignment. This member of the staff will coordinate with both field and studio personnel, seamlessly overseeing everything up to timely completion. Our team is empowered to be flexible, excel in collaboration, and be proactive in addressing challenging timelines.

How do you ensure journalistic integrity and avoid bias?

Every assignment is carefully reviewed by the on-duty staff, not just for accuracy and stylistic merit, but also to look for personal or political bias. We use a house style focused on clarity, attribution, and neutrality and we review every assignment for accuracy, fairness and unsupported opinion. We aren't affiliated with any political, advocacy or special interest groups. Eventis Media is a small, independent company that is privately owned and operated, and free of any parent corporate interference.

What file formats do you provide?

We can deliver high-resolution JPEG images, edited or unedited video files, audio clips, written copy, captions and supporting notes depending on the assignment. File specifications can be adjusted to meet a client’s publishing, broadcast or digital platform requirements.

Do you accept breaking news assignments?

Yes, when staff availability, travel distance, safety and timing allow. Breaking news assignments are evaluated quickly based on location, urgency, access and the type of content requested. Planned coverage generally allows for more complete photo, video, audio and written packages.

How are licensing and usage rights handled?

Usage rights are determined by the assignment or licensing agreement. Some content may be licensed for one-time use, while other packages may include broader digital, print, broadcast or archival rights. Copyright remains with Eventis Media News Service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Formal agreements are governed by the terms of the applicable contract.

Can clients request exclusive coverage?

Yes. Exclusive coverage may be available by agreement, depending on the assignment, content type, location and intended use. Exclusivity should be discussed before the assignment begins so rights, delivery terms and client expectations are clearly understood. Exclusive coverage means coverage prepared for one client's use, within an agreed subject, event, location, market, platform, or time period, and not simultaneously offered to another competing client in the same defined area. Types of exclusivity we offer are: full exclusive coverage for one client only; market-exclusivity limited to a defined geographic area; time-limited exclusivity where one client gets first use for a set period of time; platform-exclusive coverage for a particular format (e.g., television broadcast, website publication, print, social media or radio); and assignment-exclusive coverage for only one client where the assignment package is not available to any other clients.

How do you handle corrections?

If a factual error is identified, we review it promptly and correct the material as appropriate. We value accuracy, transparency and client trust, and we encourage clients to contact us immediately if they believe any delivered content requires review.

What is your core coverage area?

Our core coverage area is Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, with Kingsport serving as our home base. Depending on the assignment, we may also cover stories throughout the Central Appalachian region, the East Coast and other locations by special arrangement. Although rare, we can cover Canadian events as American-based news media may enter Canada temporarily to cover an assignment/event for non-Canadian media purposes, according to the Canada Border Services Agency. Due to serious security risks, we will not accept any media assignments in Mexico.

Do you provide captions and metadata?

Yes. When requested, images can include caption information, event details, location, date, photographer credit and other relevant metadata. Our use of metadata includes the standard of EXIF, IPTC and technical details such as image resolution, dimensions, file size and the format (e.g., JPEG, PNG or RAW). We understand that accurate captioning is essential for editorial use.

How quickly can you deliver content?

Turnaround depends on the assignment, location, event length and requested content package. For many planned events, we can provide selected images, captions, video clips or written copy the same day or next day. Larger assignments, edited video packages or complex stories may require additional production time. We discuss deadlines before accepting an assignment so clients know what to expect.

Do you create white-label content?

Yes. Eventis Media News Service creates white-label or client-branded content for media organizations that need supplemental coverage, photography, writing, editing, video, audio, or production support. This allows clients to expand coverage capacity while maintaining their own editorial standards, voice, and publication process. It is like having additional field or studio support when your own team is stretched by the news cycle.

Is your reporting fact-checked and transparent?

Yes, our reporting undergoes a stringent fact-checking process to ensure precision and transparency. We prioritize accuracy in all our content to maintain trustworthiness and clarity for our audience. Additionally, all sources are carefully vetted for credibility and reliability. We avoid anonymous sources whenever possible and prioritize clear attribution, transparency and verifiable information.

How are cancellations handled?

Cancellation terms depend on the assignment. If staff time, travel, credentials, equipment, or production time have already been committed, cancellation fees may apply. Weather-related or event-related cancellations can be addressed in the project agreement.

Are travel costs included?

Travel costs depend on location, assignment length, staffing, equipment needs, and deadline requirements. Local assignments may be priced differently from regional or long-distance assignments. Travel, lodging, parking, access fees, and related expenses should be discussed before coverage begins.

Do you cover private or corporate events?

Yes, depending on the assignment. Eventis Media News Service may cover private, corporate, nonprofit, public, cultural, historical, entertainment, and community events. Editorial, promotional, internal-use, and white-label assignments may involve different usage rights and delivery terms.

Can you work under a client's editorial style or publication requirements?

Yes. When requested, we can follow client style preferences, caption formats, file specifications, naming conventions, delivery procedures, and publication requirements. Final editorial standards and acceptance requirements should be discussed before the assignment begins.

How do you handle sensitive, tragic, or emergency news events?

Sensitive assignments are handled with care, accuracy, and respect for the people involved. We avoid sensationalism, respect lawful access restrictions, and prioritize safety, factual accuracy, and responsible editorial judgment. In the event of terrorism, national security incidents, riots, natural disasters or other such catastrophies, our primary interest is the safety, security, and well-being of our field personnel. In such circumstances, news coverage is only conducted in accordance with the wishes of the impacted staff.

Do you have backstage access to performers or artists?

Backstage, greenroom, stage-wing, photo-pit, or restricted-area access is never assumed. It depends on the event, venue, artist management, promoter, security requirements, credentialing rules, and the scope of the assignment. When backstage or restricted access is needed, Eventis Media News Service can request credentials or work with the client, venue, promoter, or artist representative to arrange access in advance. Access restrictions, escort requirements, shooting limits, embargoes, and delivery requirements should be discussed before coverage begins.

What is your policy if an artist, performer, management team, or PR representative requires image review before release?

If an artist, performer, management team, venue, or PR representative requires image review before release, that requirement must be disclosed and agreed to before coverage begins. For promotional, commercial, client-branded, or artist-approved assignments, management or PR review may be normal and appropriate when agreed to before coverage begins.  A review for limited purposes such as respecting agreed access restrictions, avoiding accidental release of private backstage material, temporary embargoes or unflattering accidental frames are considered by us to be reasonable expectations. Review is expected to take no more than 48 hours, due to the time-sensitive value of the content. Photographs submitted for review remain the copyrighted property of Eventis Media News Service, whether eventual usage is approved or not. For editorial assignments, we do not normally grant subjects or their representatives unrestricted approval or veto authority over news images.

Are your studio or production facilities open for tours?

Eventis Media News Service operates as a working newsroom, studio, and media production facility. Because active assignments, editing work, client materials, equipment preparation, and confidential projects may be underway at any time, our facilities are not open for public tours or unscheduled visits. Client meetings, production appointments, interviews, equipment pickups, and approved visits may be scheduled in advance when necessary for a specific project or assignment. All visits are by appointment only and are subject to staff availability, production schedules, safety requirements, and client-confidentiality considerations.

Do you obtain model releases for people photographed at public events?

For editorial coverage of public events, model releases are not always required in the same way they may be for advertising or commercial endorsements. In the United States, it is assumed that people in a public space have a reduced expectation of privacy. Candid photos may be taken and published for artistic, news or editorial purposes without a model release. A public event on private property may have their own rules. Usage rights depend on the assignment, subject matter, intended use, venue rules, and client needs. Promotional, commercial, or advertising uses may require additional permissions or releases.

How should Eventis content be credited?

Credit requirements depend on the assignment or licensing agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, photo, video, audio, and written materials should be credited to Eventis Media News Service and/or the assigned photographer, reporter, videographer, or producer when appropriate.

Can content be held under embargo?

Yes. When agreed to in advance, Eventis Media News Service can hold selected content until a specified release time or publication window. Embargo terms should identify what material is covered, who may access it, when it may be released, and whether the embargo applies to editorial, promotional, or client-branded use.

Do you sell your photography to the public?

No. Our photography is not sold as retail prints, downloads, or public stock images such as those available from commercial sites like Adobe Stock, Getty Images and Shutterstock. Website gallery images are shown as representative examples of our coverage, remain copyrighted, and may not be reproduced or used in any capacity without written permission. Editorial licensing or assignment-based use may be available only to qualified professional clients by written agreement.

What is your Artificial Intelligence use policy?

Eventis Media News Service may use artificial intelligence-assisted tools in limited ways to support editing, production, restoration, design, research organization, and image-quality improvements. These tools may assist with tasks such as sharpening, color and light balancing, noise reduction, file conversion, layout development, caption drafting, and copy editing. AI is not used as a substitute for human reporting, editorial judgment, factual verification, or photographic integrity. News stories, captions, historical descriptions, and factual claims are reviewed by a human before publication or broadcast. For documentary, journalistic, or event photography, AI-assisted editing is limited to quality improvements that do not materially change the truth of the image. We do not use AI to add, remove, relocate, or fabricate people, objects, events, evidence, or newsworthy context in a way that would mislead viewers. Our goal is to use technology responsibly while maintaining accuracy, transparency, and public trust. Final editorial decisions, factual claims, captions, news stories, and published materials remain under human review and responsibility. AI is used only as an assistant in the production process.
